Day 2 - lake view point (naini lake) eye shape

There are various stories about the eye shape of the lake. Some say it was the tear drop of hindu lord shiva, when his wife Sati jumped into fire. Sati did so because her father humiliate lord shiva by not inviting him in some holy ceremony.

Other says that the lake was created when an astriod hit nainital. Nothing more is known.

Whatever said and done.... Lake is beautiful
